This was the official launch film for McLaren 2018 Formula 1 car.
Shot for Wing (London), Produced by Owen Cox and directed by Eddie Sternberg.

The turnaround time was very tight: 24hrs to set build, light, shoot… and edit. We had only a handful of hours to film with the new model F1 car too.

Set design was by Michael Grubb Studio, who incorporated the McLaren hexagonal line-devices into nifty triangle cage set with custom mirror-flooring. The integrated LED triangles were DMX controlled by the very talented Lamps and Amps, who also worked with me to run the lighting ‘Kinetic’ driving shots. They were achieved through a mix of camera tricks, haze and moving light effects: I ran 30′ of DMX controlled LED battens along the length of the vehicle with various chase effects.
